With this acquisition, Livspace will build go-to-market strategy and expand in metros across the country
Livspace, an India-based online marketplace for personalised, home-interior design and décor, has acquired Dwll.in, a curated online network of interior designers, for an undisclosed amount.
With this acquisition, Livspace has aimed to create the biggest catalogue of designer looks for homeowners and the largest curated community marketplace of home designers. As part of the deal, the co-founders and the core team of Dwll.in will join Livspace. Post-acquisition, Livspace also has plans to start building the go-to-market strategy for the western region, in addition to expanding across other metros and Tier 1 cities.

This announcement came a month after it snapped DezignUp, an online community and marketplace for consumers and design professionals.
“We share the larger vision in tackling this unique opportunity not only in India, but worldwide, when it comes to creating tens of thousands of designer looks and designing people’s homes. The synergies of the technology, design strength, and execution capabilities of Livspace, along with the designer network and consumer-centric focus of Dwll.in’s platform, will go a long way in revolutionizing the home design space,” Dwll Co-founders Parikshat Hemrajani and Pankaj Poddar said, in a joint statement.
Livspace has enabled homeowners to discover pre-created looks for all rooms, kitchen, and storage areas in their homes. Customers can select and purchase these looks, which are created by international designers, and personalise them (by material, colour, style) online. With its ‘find your apartment’ feature, it is possible for homeowners to view ‘designer looks’ for their apartment before they make any home design purchase. The items will then be delivered at the customers’ doorsteps.
Livspace already has a social community of over 320,000 homeowners, with some of the highest user-engagement in the country. It has currently projected a revenue run-rate of more than US$10 million in months to come.
Last year, Livspace had secured US$4.6 million in Series A funding, co-led by Helion Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Jungle Ventures.
