Startup school ALPHA Camp has bought The Pragmatic Lab for an undisclosed amount; aim is to disrupt tech education in the region
Taiwan’s startup school ALPHA Camp has acquired Singapore-based The Pragmatic Lab for an undisclosed amount.
Having conducted multiple technology workshops and bootcamps across Asia, ALPHA Camp aims to leave its mark in Singapore with this acquisition, said an official release.
The Pragmatic Lab helps in developing handy mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms to amplify brand awareness and expand user base. The classes are currently conducted by industry professionals who are passionate about education. Workshops are designed with practical exercises and hands-on learning to ensure that the knowledge and skills acquired by the students can be applied immediately to their work.

On the acquisition, Sidwyn Koh, Founder and CEO of The Pragmatic Lab said, “As we plan ahead, the time is right to combine with a larger player to move faster and disrupt the technology education landscape in the region as a whole.”
The partnership will allow The Pragmatic Lab to retain its brand, operate independently from its parent ALPHA Camp and continue to offer more technology courses to the Singapore market.
